El Salvador's OYE 2026 Youth Employment Fair Links 100 Job Seekers with 30 Employers
On Friday, 31 July, the OYE 2026: Maximizando el Potencial Juvenil employment fair was held at the Hacienda de los Miranda in Antiguo Cuscatlán, El Salvador. Organized by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the nonprofit FUNDEMAS and the Multisectoral Alliance for Employability, the event aimed to accelerate the transition of young people into formal jobs.
Around 100 youth beneficiaries of the CRS OYE programme met more than 30 companies and organisations. Participants received direct contact with potential employers, information on job vacancies and opportunities to showcase their skills. Haydée de Trigueros, executive director of FUNDEMAS, urged more firms to join the ecosystem, while Gustavo Garza of CRS highlighted the talent and potential each young job‑seeker brings to the country's development.
The fair is part of broader efforts to strengthen youth employability and support sustainable economic growth in El Salvador.
