El Seibo to host traditional bullfights in November

The Patronato of the Multiusos Ingeniero Eduardo Martínez Lima has announced that traditional bullfights will be held in El Seibo from November 20 to 22. For the first time, these events will take place outside of the patron saint festivities held in May.

Scheduled for 4:00 PM at the Multiusos Ingeniero Eduardo Martínez Lima arena, the program aims to attract both national and international tourists. The festivities will include equestrian shows by the Asociación de Paso Higüeyano, cultural surprises, and live local media broadcasts.

Leo Francis Zorrilla, the Mayor of El Seibo and president of the Patronato, stated that the goal is to eventually hold four bullfighting events annually, following a proposal by President Luis Abinader. Ticket prices are set at 100 pesos for children and 300 pesos for adults. The events are supported by the Central Romana Corporation, which provides animals and ranch staff.
