El Sembrador III residents request emergency intervention over rodent infestation
Residents of the El Sembrador III residential complex in Ciudad Juan Bosch are calling for an urgent intervention by the Ministry of Public Health due to a widespread rodent infestation. Community members have requested that the area be declared a state of emergency to control the plague, which they claim poses significant health risks to families.
According to residents, rats have established burrows in green areas, near communal spaces, and adjacent to trash containers. The infestation has also caused property damage, with reports of rodents gnawing through electrical cables in vehicles, leading to unexpected repair costs. Some residents have reportedly stopped using their parking spaces due to the presence of the animals and the proximity of waste containers to the parking areas.
