El Silencio hosts HIV awareness art installation in Badajoz

The establishment El Silencio is participating in the 15th edition of La Noche en Blanco in Badajoz, transforming the historic district into a cultural stage. For this event, owner Julián Monge has organized a personal installation dedicated to the four decades of HIV history, focusing on themes of memory, resistance, and celebration rather than fear.

Monge intends to honor the legacy of those lost during years of uncertainty and stigma. The project will feature an artistic mural measuring six by five meters, created by artist Adrián Rolo, which will cover the facade and interior of the establishment to reflect on the evolution of the HIV experience over the last forty years.
