El Sistema music program expands reach in Venezuela

The National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela is continuing its musical and social development initiatives across different regions. In Uracoa, the program has maintained a continuous presence for 17 years, currently serving 1,430 students through three main pillars: the Alma Llanera program focusing on string instruments, the Simón Bolívar program providing choral and instrumental training to six local schools, and musical initiation programs.

In Chichiriviche, the Chichiriviche Nucleus held a musical concert at the Malecón to promote arts and social integration. Organized by the Monseñor Iturriza Municipality, the event featured a repertoire of classical and folkloric music aimed at strengthening local identity and boosting regional tourism.

Both initiatives emphasize free musical education and the use of art as a tool for social transformation and community development.
