El Tigre traffic collision kills two, injures three

A two‑vehicle crash on Avenida Jesús Subero in El Tigre, Anzoátegui, Venezuela, on 6 August involved a Ford Mustang and a Fiat Uno used for public transport. The collision killed the drivers, 53‑year‑old Tahisir Shumery (Mustang) and 30‑year‑old Lenin José Marín (Fiat Uno), and left three passengers with serious injuries.

The injured were Aajam Gabriel Shumery (22), son of the Mustang driver, Andrea Sequera (27) and Rafael Escalona. All were taken to Hospital General Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas. Protection Civil, municipal fire and police units responded, and the National Bolivarian Police opened an investigation into the cause of the accident.
