El Tunal hosts second Festival de la Discada

The second edition of the Festival de la Discada was held in the main plaza of El Tunal, Arteaga. Led by Mayor Ana Karen Sánchez Flores, the event celebrated the culinary traditions of northern Mexico, specifically the dish known as 'discada,' which originated from using plow discs as griddles in agricultural work.

Winners were announced across three categories. In the Discada category, Miller Grill Brothers took first place, followed by Body’s and Km 19. Familia Rangel won first place in the Salsa category, while Los Cochibroders secured the top spot for Desserts.

As the primary category winner, Miller Grill Brothers has earned direct entry into the upcoming national competition in Múzquiz, Coahuila, as well as an international competition to be held in Cancún. The event was supported by representatives from the Coahuila Grillers Association and the Saltillo OCV.
