El Vendrell: Som Poble-ERC criticizes summer management

The municipal group Som Poble-ERC has criticized the local government of El Vendrell for a lack of planning and prevention during the summer season. The group claims that recurring issues indicate a systemic problem with the current administration led by the PSC and PP.

Key grievances cited by the group include deficiencies in the new waste collection system, which has led to accumulations and odors in coastal areas, and inadequate beach accessibility. Additionally, Som Poble-ERC highlighted labor issues within the Local Police, noting unpaid overtime for more than six months and high levels of extra hours for certain agents.

The group also raised concerns regarding recurrent flooding in coastal areas and requested explanations for damages to the Riuet de Coma-ruga mouth shortly after its closure. They are calling for increased transparency and better long-term planning to protect the municipality's tourism and social potential.
