Elaine Chao linked to organizations tied to Chinese Communist Party

An investigative report by the Daily Caller News Foundation has identified previously unreported ties between former cabinet secretary Elaine Chao and organizations linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Reporter Dylan Kresak stated that Chao held three titles within organizations affiliated with the CCP’s United Front Work Department. According to Kresak, these positions were not disclosed when Chao was asked to provide disclosures in 2017 for her appointment as Secretary of Transportation.

The House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party has characterized the United Front Work Department as an entity that utilizes engagement and influence activities to shape political environments and influence foreign policy toward the People’s Republic of China.
