Pau and Lyon lead Top 14 standings after second round

In the second round of the French Top 14 rugby championship, Pau and Lyon OU have emerged as joint leaders with nine points each. Pau secured a dominant 70-28 victory over Bayonne, fueled by ten tries including a double from Théo Attissogbe.

Lyon OU also claimed a significant away win, defeating Racing 92 48-31. The match was highlighted by a standout performance from Fijian winger Jiuta Wainiqolo, who scored twice and was involved in seven of Lyon's eight tries. This victory marks a difficult period for Racing 92, who remain at the bottom of the standings with zero points following consecutive heavy losses.

Other notable results include La Rochelle's narrow 21-20 victory over Toulon and Montpellier's first win of the tournament against Vannes. Racing 92 manager Patrice Collazo has expressed deep concern regarding his team's performance, noting a lack of collective connection and defensive density compared to the previous season.
