Elazığ Chamber of Commerce hosts Romanian trade delegation

The Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) held its August council meeting, focusing on initiatives to expand foreign trade and strengthen local industrial infrastructure. During the meeting, Elazığ TSO President İdris Alan hosted a delegation led by Tamer Atalay, President of the Romania-Turkey Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

President Alan highlighted the strategic importance of Romania as one of Turkey’s largest trading partners in the Balkans, noting that bilateral trade volume has increased significantly due to mutual trust and strategic partnership. He emphasized that modern trade requires finding more economical and efficient ways to access global markets.

Regarding local development, Alan announced that the Çamyatağı Küçük Sanayi Sitesi project, intended to bolster the city’s production infrastructure and increase employment, has reached the tender stage. The chamber continues to work on increasing the number of available workplaces to meet the demands of local industrial tradespeople.
