Elazığ hosts 29th International Caspian Poetry Evenings
The 29th International Caspian Poetry Evenings has commenced in Elazığ, Turkey, at Kültür Park. Held in memory of the renowned poet Şehriyar, this year's event follows the theme 'Poetry is Beautiful in the Caspian'.
The festival features 16 poets representing Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Turkey, and Iran (Tabriz). In addition to poetry readings, the program includes cultural performances such as a theatrical parade titled 'From the Homeland to the Motherland', presented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's State Performing Arts Ensemble and various folk dance groups.
Elazığ Governor Numan Hatipoğlu noted that the event has been one of the country's longest-running literary platforms since 1992. He emphasized efforts to expand the festival's reach and integrate it more deeply with state cultural institutions.
