Elbasan man arrested for threatening police with imitation firearm

A 41-year-old man has been arrested in the Visarion Xhuvani neighborhood of Elbasan after allegedly threatening four members of the Operational Force with an object resembling a firearm.

The incident occurred while police officers were conducting operational checks to apprehend the suspect's brother, who is currently wanted for the illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives, and ammunition. During the confrontation, authorities seized the imitation firearm.

Criminal investigation specialists from the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, working with judicial police officers, arrested the individual, identified as B. B., in flagrante delicto. He faces charges including assault on duty and illegal possession of weapons. Efforts to locate and capture his brother are ongoing.
