Elbit Systems and Diehl Defence partner to offer SkyStriker to Germany

Elbit Systems and Diehl Defence have signed a memorandum of understanding to offer the SkyStriker loitering munition to the German Armed Forces. The agreement was formalized during the ILA 2026 trade fair in Berlin.

The partnership aims to deepen cooperation and facilitate technology transfer to the German defense industry. If an order is secured, production, assembly, integration, and qualification will take place at Diehl Defence facilities. The production split is expected to be 50:50, with Diehl Defence handling warheads and launchers, while Elbit Systems and its German subsidiary manage airframe production in Germany and Israel.

The SkyStriker is a versatile, low-noise electric system capable of being launched from transport-launch containers, making it compatible with systems such as PULS, EuroPULS, and MARS III. Recent versions of the munition have seen an increased operational range, with reports indicating capabilities of up to 250 km. The system is designed to strike targets such as combat vehicles and command posts using various warhead types.
