Elche CF completes major squad overhaul during transfer window

Elche CF has completed a significant squad overhaul following the close of the summer transfer window. The club announced several key arrivals, including midfielder Thomas Lemar on loan from Atlético de Madrid, defender Kevin Lomónaco from Independiente for approximately five million euros, and full-backs Rubén Sánchez from RCD Espanyol and Roy Revivo from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The club also saw major departures, most notably central defender David Affengruber, who transferred to Fulham in the Premier League for 12 million euros. Other departures include Umaru Konaré, who joined Ceuta on loan, and Nordin, who moved to Extremadura. Despite the window closing, Elche CF remains active in the free agent market, seeking to utilize two available licenses to strengthen their goalkeeper and forward positions.

General Director Pedro Schinocca expressed satisfaction with the window, stating the squad is balanced and aligned with the club's summer planning. In total, the club has secured ten signings this summer, including players such as Javi Morcillo, Facu Buonanotte, Fer Niño, Eze Ponce, and Abiel Osorio.
