Elche Parque Empresarial expansion approved with €37.5 million urbanisation plan

The municipal agency PIMESA has approved the project to expand Elche Parque Empresarial, authorising a tender for urbanisation works valued at approximately €37.58 million. Mayor Pablo Ruz called the investment historic, citing its potential to attract new companies, create jobs and cement Elche’s role as a major industrial hub in the Valencian Community and Spain. The expansion will cover 569,260 m², including 276,264 m² for industrial and tertiary use, 136,284 m² of road networks, 139,471 m² of green areas and 17,241 m² for public facilities. A comprehensive plan adds nine main roads, seven roundabouts, shared‑lane sections, bike lanes, parking, and full utility networks. Over €5 million is earmarked for hydraulic infrastructure, featuring two large storage tanks capable of holding more than 110,000 m³ of water to improve flood resilience. Vice‑mayor Francisco Soler said licensing and the tender process should be completed within about six months, accelerating the city’s economic growth strategy.
