Elche resumes Puertas Coloradas sports complex project

The Elche City Council has resumed the development of the Puertas Coloradas sports complex following a ruling by the Central Administrative Court of Contractual Appeals (TACRC). The court dismissed an appeal filed by a competing bidder, lifting a suspension that had blocked the project since June.

The contract for technical assistance and project drafting was awarded in April to A-INGENIA Research and Consulting S.L. for 169,400 euros. The project, located in the E-15 sector, will cover approximately 16,300 square meters and include a swimming pool, skating rink, multi-purpose room, cafeteria, and parking facilities.

Additionally, the Local Government Board approved the start of a process to install two new outdoor calisthenics areas in La Hoya and La Marina, with a base tender budget of 72,127 euros.
