Elda initiates expansion of Finca Lacy industrial estate

The Elda City Council has initiated urban planning procedures to expand the Finca Lacy industrial estate. This move comes as the existing area has reached nearly 100% occupancy, leaving almost no available land for new business projects.

The proposal involves a modification of the General Urban Development Plan (PGOU) to reclassify adjacent land as industrial developable soil. This expansion aims to provide larger plots capable of hosting logistics, technological, and productive activities to meet current market demands.

According to Sustainable Urbanism Councilor Jesús Sellés, the initiative is a priority for the municipality to attract investment and generate quality employment. The project seeks to utilize existing infrastructure and services while minimizing the consumption of new territory and avoiding impact on significant environmental or heritage sites.
