Elda initiates expansion of Finca Lacy industrial estate

The Elda City Council has initiated a public consultation process to expand the Finca Lacy industrial estate. This move, known as Modification No. 77 of the General Urban Development Plan, aims to address the current near 100% occupancy rate of the existing park and the shortage of large-scale plots.

The proposal involves classifying adjacent land as new industrial urbanizable soil. By utilizing land next to the current site, the city intends to leverage existing infrastructure and access points while minimizing territorial consumption and protecting environmental or heritage sites.

The public consultation period began on August 1 and is scheduled to remain open until September 20, 2026, allowing individuals and businesses to submit suggestions before the formal draft is written. Jesús Sellés, the Councilor for Sustainable Urbanism, stated that providing adequate industrial land is essential for attracting investment and generating quality employment.
