Elda receives grant for gender-perspective film course

The Elda Municipal Institute of Social Services (IMSSE) has been awarded a grant from the Generalitat Valenciana to fund a film course centered on a gender perspective. The initiative aims to use audiovisual creation and short film production as pedagogical tools to raise awareness and prevent gender-based violence.

The second edition of the program involved 21 participants, fostering intergenerational dialogue between six youths aged 14 to 18 and fifteen seniors over the age of 60. María Gisbert, the Councillor for Equality, noted that the funding supports the city’s equality and diversity policies by using cinema to reflect on gender roles and build more equitable models through shared life experiences.
