Elden Ring film adaptation wraps production in the United Kingdom

The cinematic adaptation of the video‑game franchise Elden Ring has completed principal photography after roughly four to six months of shooting. Production began in April in the United Kingdom, with locations in Scotland, and wrapped by the end of July, staying within the originally planned 100‑day schedule.

The film, written and directed by Alex Garland and produced by A24 alongside George R. R. Martin, features a cast that includes Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Ben Whishaw, Nick Offerman and others. With an estimated budget exceeding US$100 million, the project will move into an extensive post‑production phase before its scheduled theatrical release on 3 March 2028, including an IMAX presentation.

Although A24 has not officially confirmed the filming completion, the information was reported via a now‑deleted Instagram post by prop artist Sean Schofield. The movie is expected to require significant visual‑effects work to recreate the game’s iconic “Lands Between” setting.
