Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in August 2026
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have confirmed that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026. The release follows a delay from its original 2025 target, which was necessitated by technical performance issues observed during earlier demonstrations.
This comprehensive edition includes the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It also features exclusive content for the new platform, such as two new starting classes, new character armor, and customization options for the in-game mount, Torrent.
Recent gameplay showcases indicate improved stability on the new hardware. In docked mode, the game reportedly maintains a stable 30 FPS without significant frame-pacing issues, though some performance drops may still occur in handheld mode during intense boss encounters. The Tarnished Edition is currently available for pre-order.
