Elderly Man Kills Intruder in Self‑Defense in Aracaju, Brazil

In the Atalaia neighborhood of Aracaju, Sergipe, an elderly homeowner confronted a man who had jumped the property’s wall and attempted to assault him. The resident, who had kept a revolver for about thirty years, fired a shot that struck the intruder, who died at the scene despite emergency medical assistance. Police seized the firearm and five cartridges, and the homicide will be investigated by the local Department of Homicides under the claim of legitimate self‑defense.
