Elderly Men Die in Separate Sea Incidents in Mexican Coastal Towns

Two separate incidents in Yucatán resulted in the deaths of elderly men found in the sea. In Eldorado's El Conchal fishing community, 65‑year‑old Lorenzo Eliseo was discovered dead floating near the pier. Authorities suspect drowning, possibly after an accidental fall while drinking, and a forensic autopsy is pending.

In Progreso, 79‑year‑old Willevaldo C. C. was rescued from the water at the Chocolate pier by maritime patrol and lifeguards, but he died shortly after being taken to a local IMSS clinic. His daughter identified him and said he was alone on the beach at the time. Both cases are under investigation by local police and the state prosecutor's office.
