Elderly Woman in Kütahya Hospitalized After Fall During Wedding Preparations

A 70‑plus‑year‑old woman identified as A. Ö., who suffers from diabetes and hypertension, was preparing to attend a neighbor’s wedding in Kütahya when she lost balance while closing her front door. She fell, hit her head and was immediately attended to by nearby residents who called emergency services. Health workers arrived, provided first aid and transported her by ambulance to a local hospital; her condition has not yet been disclosed.

The incident occurred on Seyfi Efendi Street in the 75 Year neighbourhood as wedding celebrations continued on the same street. Witnesses remarked on the contrast, saying, “One side of the street had wedding excitement, the other side had a hospital rush.” The community noted the odd juxtaposition of festivity and emergency.

Local health authorities confirmed that the woman’s treatment is ongoing and that the incident has drawn attention to the importance of monitoring health conditions during physically demanding activities.
