Elderly Women Die on Spanish Beaches in Separate Incidents

A 70‑year‑old woman was found unconscious on the Puertito de Güímar beach in Güímar, Tenerife, on 14 July 2026. Rescue teams performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation but she was later pronounced dead.

Two days earlier, on 12 July 2026, a 71‑year‑old woman suffered a cardiac arrest on the Coco beach in Badalona, near Barcelona. Lifeguards and emergency medical services attempted resuscitation, but she also died at the scene.

Both incidents involved elderly beachgoers in Spain who experienced sudden health crises despite rapid emergency response.
