Elderly women found deceased in Gorontalo and Sragen homes
Two separate incidents involving the discovery of deceased elderly women in their homes have been reported in Gorontalo and Sragen, Indonesia.
In Gorontalo, a 67-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Kota Tengah on Saturday. Police investigated the scene and reported no signs of criminal activity, theft, or forced entry. Valuable items, including a mobile phone and gold bracelet, were found undisturbed near the body. Authorities concluded the death was due to natural causes, noting the victim had a history of illness.
In Sragen, a 74-year-old woman named Sri Tartini was found dead in her home in Karangmalang on Friday night. Neighbors became suspicious after her house remained dark for two nights and she failed to respond to calls. Upon breaking into the residence, family and locals discovered the body, which had been deceased for approximately two to three days. Forensic teams and emergency services responded to the scene, and the body was transported to RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro for further examination.
