Elecom introduces compact 45W retractable USB-C charger

Elecom has introduced the EC-AC12945, a compact AC charger featuring a built-in retractable USB-C cable. Priced in the 3,000 yen range, the device utilizes GaN II Plus technology to provide a maximum output of 45W. It supports USB Power Delivery (USB PD) and PPS standards, allowing for the simultaneous charging of a laptop and a smartphone via an additional USB-C port.

The retractable design is intended to reduce clutter and facilitate easy transport for mobile workers. When two devices are used simultaneously, the total output is 40W, with the integrated cable providing up to 30W and the secondary port providing up to 10W.
