Election Commission of India drives voter registration in Madhya Pradesh and Telangana

The Election Commission of India is conducting extensive voter registration drives across various states. In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha reported that over 400,000 Form 6 applications have been received since October 1. A significant portion of these, approximately 192,851, come from citizens aged 18 to 19, indicating high engagement from first-time voters.

In Telangana, election authorities have been directed to hold special enrollment camps at every polling station on October 15 and 16. These camps aim to assist eligible voters whose names are missing from the draft electoral rolls. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are tasked with conducting house-to-house visits to identify missing electors and facilitate the submission of Form 6. The final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on November 9.
