The Electoral Institute of the State of Guanajuato (IEEG) has approved a resolution regarding a sanctioning procedure in Dolores Hidalgo. The case, initiated by council members Gabriel Mata González and Luz Guillermina Méndez Rodríguez, involved allegations of personal promotion and misuse of public resources against municipal officials and a private entity. The IEEG declared that no infractions regarding legality, impartiality, or equity in the electoral contest were found.

In Aguascalientes, the Local Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) is progressing with preparations for the 2026-2027 electoral process. The council has established commissions for electoral training, organization, and the Federal Register of Voters. Current data shows a nominal voter list of approximately 1.15 million people, including over 7,500 citizens living abroad.
