Electoral irregularity reports rise in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul

Citizens in the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul are increasingly using the Pardal application to report potential electoral irregularities and crimes.

In Mato Grosso, 316 reports have been registered, with Cuiabá recording the highest number at 108, followed by Sinop and Rondonópolis. The most frequent complaints involve irregular internet propaganda, unauthorized public advertising, and the misuse of public assets, buildings, or vehicles. Candidates for state deputy are the primary targets of these reports, accounting for 208 of the notifications.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the Pardal platform has recorded 63 reports. Campo Grande has the highest concentration with 26 occurrences, followed by Dourados. Similar to Mato Grosso, the main issues cited include internet propaganda, the use of public goods, and outdoor advertising. Candidates for state deputy and federal deputy are the most frequently reported roles in this state as well.
