Electric scooters in Temuco surpass 30,000 trips
Electric scooter service JET has surpassed 30,000 trips in Temuco, Chile, within three weeks of implementation. The service has registered over 16,000 users, who have collectively covered more than 40,000 kilometers and logged approximately 300,000 minutes of use.
According to internal data from JET, the scooters are primarily used for short commutes and to complement existing mobility systems. The company reports that users save an average of 15 minutes per trip compared to walking or using ride-hailing apps, potentially reclaiming over six hours of time per month for frequent users. Requirements for the service include being of legal age, wearing a helmet, and parking in authorized zones.
