Electric scooters target commuters with new models

New electric scooter models are entering the commuter market, focusing on portability and performance for short-distance travel.

Apollo has released the Dash, an entry-level scooter designed for commuters and leisure riders. Priced at $699 in the US and $849 CAD in Canada, the Dash features a Bosch motor with a 1200W peak, GPS tracking, and a top speed of 22mph. It offers a range of up to 25 miles and includes self-healing pneumatic tires.

In broader market testing, the Hiboy S2 Pro has been identified as a top overall choice for commuting due to its 500W motor and lightweight 35.9-pound frame. Other notable models include the Gotrax GXL V2, recognized for its value, and the Gotrax A5, which features a seated design for specific rider preferences.
