Electric vehicle adoption diverges between private and corporate sectors

Data from Anfac indicates a growing disparity in electric vehicle (EV) adoption between private consumers and corporate fleets in Spain. As of September, 25% of private individuals have opted for zero-emission models, whereas only 10% of companies have made the transition.

Experts attribute the higher adoption rate among individuals to the implementation of the Auto+ Plan subsidies, the arrival of more affordable Chinese EV models, and high gasoline prices. Conversely, companies report that current tax incentives are insufficient to justify the investment for large fleets, leading them to continue utilizing internal combustion or hybrid vehicles.
