In the United Kingdom, installing a home electric‑vehicle charger typically costs between £900 and £1,000, covering the charger unit and labour. Prices vary with factors such as distance from the fuse box, the condition of existing wiring, charger power rating and any required groundworks. The UK government’s EV Chargepoint Grant can cover up to £500 – 75% of the cost – for renters, flat owners and landlords, reducing the out‑of‑pocket expense.

In North America, Sigenergy’s bidirectional DC EV charger delivers up to 25 kW charging speed and supports Vehicle‑to‑Home (V2H) and Vehicle‑to‑Grid (V2G) operation. The system can provide emergency backup power to homes during outages and, when linked to utilities, can supply stored energy to the grid during peak demand.
