Electric vehicle markets and infrastructure see regional developments in Croatia and Bosnia
In Croatia, the market share of fully electric vehicles rose from 1.9% in 2025 to 4.3% during the first eight months of 2026. Despite this growth, industry experts note that the market remains heavily dependent on state incentives. During a recent roundtable hosted by Auto Hrvatska, stakeholders discussed the need for more predictable and long-term subsidy schedules to prevent sales fluctuations caused by intermittent public calls for applications.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of Tuzla Canton has allocated 100,000 KM to co-finance the construction of electric vehicle charging stations. The funds will be distributed via public calls to private companies and entrepreneurs aiming to install publicly accessible fast DC chargers. The government will cover up to 50% of procurement and installation costs, with a maximum support of 25,000 KM per project. Priority will be given to locations near highways and regional roads, as well as projects with higher private financial contributions.
