Electrical incidents hit Veracruz and Tlaxcala in Mexico

In Veracruz, a man was caught attempting to steal high‑voltage cables from a CFE substation on the Veracruz‑Xalapa highway near Tejería. Police pursued him, and during the chase he tried to strike the officers with the stolen cable before being apprehended on the roadway.

In Tlaxcala, a 28‑year‑old worker suffered a severe electric shock while working on high‑voltage lines on the boundary between Santa Ana Chiautempan and La Magdalena Tlaltelulco. The shock caused burns on about 60 % of his body. He was rescued by emergency crews, stabilized on‑site, and transported to the Hospital General de Tlaxcala for further treatment.
