Electrical infrastructure incidents reported in Argentina and Mexico

Two separate incidents involving high-voltage electrical infrastructure were reported in Argentina and Mexico.

In Strobel, Argentina, a driver lost control of a Chevrolet Agile and collided with a cement high-voltage power pole on Avenida San Martín. While the vehicle was found unoccupied at the scene, the owner confirmed no injuries occurred. ENERSA personnel were dispatched to repair the damaged electrical structure, and local police maintained a security perimeter until conditions were safe.

In Piedras Negras, Mexico, a high-voltage cable from the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) fell onto three vehicles on Avenida Román Cepeda during maintenance work. The energized cable caused at least one vehicle to catch fire, damaging a Dodge Avenger, a Dodge pickup, and a compact car. No injuries were reported following the incident.
