Electricity Company of Ghana announces 4-day power outage

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has initiated a four-day planned maintenance exercise from Monday, August 10, to Thursday, August 13, 2026. The maintenance is intended to improve the reliability and quality of the electricity supply in parts of the Accra East Region.

Power interruptions are scheduled daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The specific areas affected include:

• Monday: Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Ability, and surrounding communities. • Tuesday: Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction, and adjoining areas. • Wednesday: Parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters, and surrounding areas. • Thursday: Achimota School and nearby communities.

ECG has advised residents in these locations to make necessary arrangements for the temporary disruptions and has apologized for the inconvenience caused by the service improvements.
