The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled power outages across the Central, Accra (East and West), Tema, and Volta regions from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, 2026.

The outages are intended to facilitate urgent maintenance and system upgrades following a series of recent technical faults that disrupted the electricity supply. Most affected areas will experience power cuts between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, though some locations may see interruptions between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

In the Central Region, Saltpond and Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School are scheduled for outages on October 26. In Accra West, communities including Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sapeiman, and Opah will face cuts on the same day, with additional outages scheduled for GNTC, Sahara, Medie, and Kotoku on October 27. ECG stated these measures are necessary to stabilize the distribution infrastructure and improve long-term service reliability.
