Electricity Company of Ghana to launch nationwide revenue mobilisation
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will commence a nationwide Mass Revenue Mobilisation Exercise starting Monday, November 9, through Friday, November 27, 2026. The initiative aims to recover outstanding electricity bills and strengthen the company's financial position and operational efficiency.
The exercise targets all customer categories, including residential, commercial, and industrial users, as well as Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). Customers with arrears are urged to settle their debts to avoid disconnection and the subsequent cost of reconnection fees.
Special monitoring teams will be deployed to oversee the operation. These teams are tasked with apprehending and prosecuting individuals found to have illegal electricity connections, those who interfere with the exercise, or those who attempt unauthorized self-reconnection after being disconnected.
