EA Sports FC 27 launches with new social mode and Switch 2 bundle

Electronic Arts has released EA Sports FC 27, introducing several major updates to its football simulation franchise. A central feature is ‘The Grounds’, a new social open-world space where players can engage in street football, 1v1 duels, and social activities. The game also features a revamped Career Mode with a reconstructed transfer market utilizing TransferRoom data, and updated Dynamic OVR ratings to reflect player form and fitness.

In Latin America, Nintendo and Electronic Arts have announced a special bundle for the Nintendo Switch 2, which includes a digital download code for the Standard Edition of the game. In Brazil, this bundle is scheduled to go on sale starting October 15.

While the game introduces technical improvements like HyperMotionV and enhanced PlayStyles+, reception has been mixed. Some critics have praised the refined Career Mode and gameplay mechanics, while others have criticized the ‘The Grounds’ social space and reported technical bugs. On Steam, initial player counts suggest a slightly slower start compared to previous annual releases.
