The Sims 4 receives major free update for older Sims and gameplay improvements

Electronic Arts and Maxis have released a significant free update for The Sims 4, focusing on better representation of older life stages and addressing long-standing community requests. The update introduces new Create-a-Sim content specifically for adult and elderly Sims, including two new hairstyles, four new clothing items, and five color variants for existing garments such as the ‘Grandma’s Dress’ and ‘Grandpa’s Coat’.

In Build/Buy mode, players can access eleven new items designed with a classic, cozy aesthetic, including floral wallpaper, new curtains, and various furniture pieces like a double bed and a duck-shaped table lamp. The update also adds four new elderly characters to the Gallery: Raven Ballard, Elena Marquez, Daniel Kwon, and Malik Nasir.

Beyond cosmetic additions, the patch includes over 150 bug fixes and optimizations. Notable gameplay improvements focus on food and physical development, allowing players to independently toggle settings for muscle mass and weight changes. Additionally, Sims will now prioritize eating leftovers from the refrigerator or counters when hungry, a feature requested by the community.
