Elefsina: Weapons and nationalist materials seized after neo-Nazi knife attack

Authorities in Elefsina have launched an investigation into an attempted murder following a knife attack on a 32-year-old man. Prosecutors have charged a 22-year-old and an 18-year-old with attempted murder after the suspects allegedly approached the victim on Konstantinoupolis Street and wounded him in the leg.

During searches of the 22-year-old's residence, police seized a variety of weapons and extremist materials, including a brass knuckle, a butterfly knife, a 22-centimeter folding knife, a torch, balaclavas, and a gas mask. Investigators also recovered nationalist literature, such as a book titled ‘National Socialism,’ flyers, and stickers associated with the ‘Autonomous Nationalist Youth of Athens.’

Items linked to the investigation were also found at the 18-year-old's home, including clothing stamped with group insignia and a hand torch. The investigation is examining whether the attack was motivated by political extremism, as the suspects reportedly told the victim, ‘we are the commandos here.’
