Elektrobit and Microchip partner on pre-integrated AUTOSAR software
Elektrobit and Microchip Technology have announced a collaboration to provide pre-integrated AUTOSAR software solutions for automotive platforms. This partnership aims to assist original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers in transitioning to software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by reducing the complexity and time required for software integration.
The collaboration enables customers to access Elektrobit’s EB tresos portfolio, specifically providing pre-integrated AUTOSAR Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) software. Currently, the solution supports EB tresos AutoCore OS and EB tresos AutoCore Generic modules on Microchip’s SAMA5 series microprocessors, with plans to expand to additional platforms in the future.
To improve efficiency, Elektrobit is implementing an automation-first approach using integration-as-code. This method converts repeatable Classic AUTOSAR integration tasks into reusable, executable logic, allowing development teams to focus on application development and vehicle differentiation. The companies plan to target the growing two-wheeler market in Asia, as well as broader automotive opportunities in Asia and North America.
