Elena Arvigo brings Atomic Tales to Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Performer Elena Arvigo is returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her production ‘Atomic Tales’. The show, performed in English, is based on Svetlana Aleksievich’s ‘Chernobyl Prayer’.

Rather than reconstructing the technical events of the 1986 nuclear disaster, the performance focuses on the human dimension and the internal histories of survivors. It is part of Arvigo’s broader project, ‘Le imperdonabili’ (The Unforgivable), which explores the lives of women who act as witnesses to war and reality.

The production, which previously won the 2023 ‘Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano’ award for Best Monologue, is scheduled to run daily at the Zoo Playground until August 30.
