Elena Sadiku named Ballon d'Or finalist for Women's Best Coach

Elena Sadiku has been named as one of five finalists for the Ballon d'Or award for Women's Best Coach. The Albanian-origin coach is the only female coach among the five nominees for the prestigious honor.

Sadiku's nomination follows significant achievements with Celtic FC, where she led the team to their first Scottish Women's Premier League title. She also achieved success with BK Häcken, guiding the club to a Women's Europa Cup triumph, their first continental title since 1970.

Her fellow finalists include Jonatan Giráldez of Olympique Lyonnais, Andrée Jeglertz of Manchester City, Nils Nielsen of the Japanese women's national team, and Pere Romeu of Barcelona.
