Elena Tomassini appointed regional prosecutor for Abruzzo Corte dei conti

Elena Tomassini has officially assumed her role as the new regional prosecutor for the Corte dei conti in Abruzzo. A section president with extensive legal experience, Tomassini previously served as an ordinary magistrate from 1991 to 2002, handling both civil and criminal matters.

Since joining the Corte dei conti in 2002, she has worked across various regional and central offices, gaining expertise in prosecution, control, and jurisdiction. In addition to her judicial career, she is a university lecturer, an author of numerous publications on public accounting and administrative responsibility, and currently serves as the deputy director of the Rivista della Corte dei conti.

Her appointment comes at a critical time for the Abruzzo regional prosecutor's office, which is tasked with overseeing the management of public resources and ensuring administrative efficiency. This oversight is particularly vital given the ongoing public investments and the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
