Elena Tonra announces Ex:Re solo album ‘Save As’

Elena Tonra, leader of the London indie-rock trio Daughter, has announced the release of her second solo album under the moniker Ex:Re. Titled ‘Save As’, the record is scheduled for release on October 30 via the 4AD label.

Produced by Fabian Prynn, the album features contributions from Josephine Stephenson on cello, Hinako Omori on synthesizer, Ben Reed on bass, and Jethro Fox on electric guitar. The project blends early demo recordings with studio-produced tracks, creating a soundscape that explores human consciousness, indecision, and emotional flux.

The opening track, ‘Radio Station’, serves as a metaphor for Tonra’s internal state of being unable to make decisions. A music video for the single, directed by Angela Ricciardi and filmed in Paris, has been released. The album includes tracks such as ‘Sleep’, ‘Am I Even Real?’, and ‘Two Chords’. Following the release, Tonra is scheduled for several tour dates in the UK, including stops in London, Brighton, Leeds, Liverpool, and Oxford.
