The couple married in 1989 when Menegaki was 20 years old, having met while she worked at his family's bridal shop in Kolonos. Their marriage lasted approximately one year before they divorced in 1990. Menegaki acknowledged the message by leaving a like on the post, though she did not provide a written response.

Menegaki celebrated her birthday on October 29 with her family, including her husband, Makis Pantzopoulos, and their four children.
